Hi all, I'm new to the comm but really happy to be here. Cause Yay Giles! For my contribution I made two duality-focused picspams (with some meta to go with it) about why Giles is an awesome man, specifically in regards to Willow.

I'd just like to say a word of thanks to the mods of this community. I came to this fandom with an obsession for Spike. I liked the charachter of Rupert Giles, but I've never really spent a lot of time with him. Signing up for this round of Summer of Giles has made me have a deeper look at him. I've enjoyed that look. I hope my contribution shows this. I hope it is a worthy tribute to a fine charachter in a well loved show, and the finer actor that played him.

I originally thought I wasn't going to be able to do this, real life had caught up to me.
I chronicled the father/daughter and love-hate relationship between Buffy and Giles because I feel that this was always a personal theme for me. It sounds odd, I think, but I looked up to Giles growing up.

Anyway, here it is.

( But I really think we should be listening to the other Buffy, Guy-iles. She's very smart and she's gonna help us save Spike. )

Okay, I'm not really sure what to call this. (Sidenote to the mods: I have no idea how to tag this.) My daughter and her friends do this with each others' names. Like say they choose Elizabeth, they will find adjectives that start with all the letters of her name, like Energetic and Lovable. I took it a few steps further, explaining why I chose these words and adding pictures.

Anyway, I hope you like it.
