Title: Season 2 epilogue - Revelations
Characters: Giles & Joyce, Whistler
Rating: PG
Length: 6349 words
Summary: Instead of standing at the school wondering where Buffy is at the end of Season 2, Giles goes to her house to ask... And ultimately meets someone unexpected.
Notes: The season 2 finale was very well done and no reason to change it, and it was dramatic to have Buffy stare at her friends and then walk away in her sadness overalls. But it bugged me that they would stand around at the school wondering where she was and no one mentions going to her house or asking her Mom. So someone should go ask her Mom...and Giles seemed like the likely candidate to do it.
It's in script form but nothing like a final script. More like a dialog with some stage or character directions indicated with <italics>. Comments (constructive or otherwise) strongly encouraged.

“Oh! I think I got it this time!” Willow declared, “I think it's working!” The tiny pink dot on her screen glowed brightly over the city of Los Angeles, just as all available information suggested that it should. Without meaning too, several of the people holding hands in a circle around her hushed in anticipation, holding their breath. The dot flickered. “Keep chanting!” she instructed fiercely, as she clicked to enlarge the map and waited impatiently for the enlarged image to load.

Steeling herself, Gale grasped the knob of the library door firmly, ready to slid her key in. It turned in her hand, not locked after all. The Slayer, slouching boredly at her side, perked up just a little, hoping for trouble.
