Summary: following on in my Enslavement Universe where the slayer line was destroyed before Buffy. Demons rule the earth and most humans are slaves or meat. Some magic users survived by making themselves useful to the demon lords. Ethan Rayne and Rupert Giles made a deal with Eghon and became powerful slave trainers. Giles’ skill in breaking humans is particularly prized (he’s even written books on the subject). Giles acquired Wesley and the training was so successful Giles kept him at the end as a demonstration model (and because he’d developed some feelings). Ethan’s jealousy threatened to cause trouble but Giles convinced Ethan to wear his collar to bind them together. Ethan had no idea the layers of spells Giles had placed on the collar but now it was time to put it to use.
