Graphics: Giles/Wes, G/Spike & G/Oz images and a couple of icons

Here are a couple more of that 'series' I was talking about.

For Giles & Wes though, it's not so much one single moment, but instead a series of them standing just too close to each other, looking so cute in their suits and cleaning their glasses together.  The way Wes is so absolutely silly and Giles is so sardonic just makes me grin.

polly1esther 's hilarious vid The Odd Couple totally reminded me that for a brief moment (well, sorta half a season) Giles & Spike lived together as uneasy roommates.  There was teasing, and blood drinking, and some astonishment at the guitar playing.

And finally... there are very few times when Giles and Oz directly interact (though I can think of some fairly fraught ones pertaining to Oz getting to his cage on time in highschool). But there's this one moment in Season 4 in Harsh Light of Day where Oz says what he says in the poster below, and Giles almost stops what he's doing to listen to an album, when they're in perfect accord. And I LOVED that moment.

I love these, and I think they work really well as a series... although they are all different, there's an overall commonality in texture and color saturation that makes them extra pretty when viewed together.

I'm especially fond of the icons, especially the Giles/Oz, but that's probably just because I am a *total whore for icons*. Hopefully someday I'll be able to make ones as nice as this... currently I just dabble with them when I'm procrastinating over something else. :P

And thank you so much for your feedback about the icons - i always feel like i make my most successful ones when i start with a bigger canvas than 100x100 (and then resize when i'm done)

I love them all, but the Giles and Oz one is very evocative and just has "this feeling" to me. It's calm. I suppose with Wes and Giles always sniping at one another, and the outright snarking and constant back and forth that Spike and Giles had, makes the last one my absolute favorite.

I think because of all near apocalypses, brushes with death, heck, death itself, I love the quiet moments between the Scoobies the best.

YAY! oh thanks so much lady for the marvelous feedback - i was definitely attempting to do something like that with the Giles/Oz one - I imagine them sitting around listening to music together, you know? In that head-noddy-way that happens when two people like the same things. Which is why I love they way they both have these expressions in that moment - and why your comment makes me feel like I caught a little bit of it.

Your artwork has an interesting effect on me. As soon as I saw these, I had an idea for a Giles/Spike fic which is kinda bizarre as never written one before!! I will be using your banner but will definitely credit and who knows, maybe it will be finished in time to post it at the summer_of_giles!!

thank you lady. you neither. i know we established the mutual admiration society many years ago, but it still warms the cocles of my heart.

and i keep meaning to mention (ok, random comment is random) that i finally watched Jekyll and OH MY GODS NOW I SEE WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT. It's AWESOME. i wish they had made more of it. seriously even the first episode was so dark and amazingly threatening even when there wasn't explicit violence. GAH.

also, did you know your manips make the rounds on tumbler all the time? i see them and try to point out they're from you - what reminded me was seeing one of your Jekyll ones with bullet holes the other day! But Giles manips are popular too!

Thank you so much for the info. I actually crossed a lot of my stuff on "fanpop" as well. It's so strange to see things shown as if they are real but that is the ultimate compliment.

Sooo, glad you watched and enjoyed Jekyll. I've been meaning to watch it again. I loved James and had so much fun playing with him in manips. I'm with you, they should have done more of that show. I know it did rather well internationally. Oh well.
