Drabble: Sunshine (Giles/Anya-ish) Gen
For the drabble challenge, following Wakeupinacoma's drabble
TITLE: Sunshine
LENGTH: 100 words
PAIRING: Giles/Anya-ish
An AU of Season Six, where the breakup of Xander and Anya happened early.
He listened through the door as she called Xander, promising him $50 to do the job.
It was the first time Anya had spoken to Xander voluntarily since the breakup, Giles thought. He marveled at her calm and negotiating tactics.
When he opened the shop's cellar door, he saw her standing behind the counter as she hung up the phone.
Sunlight gilded her hair, and the potion jars behind her reflected new light.
"All right, Anya?" he said, putting down the box of slug candles.
"All right, Giles." She managed a beam at him.
For a moment all was sunshine.
