Welcome To My Life: A Rupert Giles FanMix
This is just a small selection of music which reminds me of Giles in some way.

This song is all Ripper and Giles's youth on the streets of London.

Another song about Ripper's wild days in London.

We can climb so high
I never wanna die"
Every Breath You Take:
Cheesy choice? Yes, I'll admit it. But even ASH himself said this was the Watcher's song.
"Every breath you take, I'll be watching you."
In The shadows:
Giles protects Buffy, although she may not always know it.
"No sleep until I am done with finding the answer"
How many nights did Giles stay up researching to keep Buffy safe?
Closer:
"Stranded in this spooky town"
This is totally Giles and there is nowhere spookier than Sunnydale.

This song represents the separation from the scoobies and the depression Giles felt during season four.

Well, where to start with this one. So many of the lyrics make me think of all the times the Watcher was beaten up or knocked on the head.

A song with fits how Giles felt when he was travelling the world searching for Potentials.

Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill has always made me think of Giles around the time of Eyghon, after Randall's death. It makes me think of his father coming to get him.

Landing in London is very much a Rupert song. I thought so the first time you made me listen to it and really, there are so many 3 Doors Down songs that fit Rupert very well. I could have added many more to this mix.

I do think it adds to a fic if I can listen to the same song as the characters. I find it helps to get a better understanding of the emotions they are feeling. (I might just be a bit odd like that). :)
Also, it is a great way of finding music I might otherwise not listen to.
