“You should probably go.”

Giles swirled his drink thoughtfully, not looking up.

“Do you want me to go?” he asked quietly.

“It’s not really about what I want,” Jenny sighed, pouring herself another drink.

Giles raised an eyebrow in question, and she laughed softly.

“It is a school night, Rupert,” she murmured teasingly, leaning close. “Whatever would Principal Snyder say if he saw us?”

“I’d rather not think of him, if it’s all the same to you,” he replied, bringing his hand to cup her cheek. “Especially if I have to leave soon.”

She smiled and removed his glasses.

“Stay.”
