Thanks so much! My flist came up with these funny prompts (allergy to tweed, cursed tea), but they were all about undermining Giles's sense of self, and the whole thing flowered from there. I do think the Council will understand - whether they properly train the Watchers, I'm less sure, but they must face it that in difficult situations very tough choices are made, and they may have to pick up the pieces.
