This was excellent. I finally took a break from my writing just to read it, and I'm happy I did. I love how dark and atmospheric it is. And how you use the weather to mirror Giles' moods, I also like how, even though the kids were being shits, he had to save them. Not only because it's who he is, but also his memories of how he and Ethan were in the same place when they were young. Children do sometimes grow up. And the vampire that just found him interesting and unknowingly helped him remember who he was. Very vivid and intriguing characters.
