Oh, I agree. I can completely see why you didn't want to over-complicate the end of the story with any Buffy related drama- the message would have gotten muddled, I think.

Still, my imagination loves to run away with me. I must say that the idea of Buffy walking in on a big fat Giles/Angel smoochie did brighten my day, although it was clearly not even in the *ballpark* of the message intended by your fic. Don't worry, you cannot be blamed! :P
