I enjoyed this quite a bit. Your author's note says you are a B/G shipper; so am I, and I definitely give you credit for challenging yourself and your readers with something different. I've always found the relationship between Angel and Giles to be sort of interesting, largely for reasons that you mentioned in your notes. I thought your fic portrayed a lot of the nervous tension and conflict between them very effectively.

As far as the flashbacks to the mansion, I liked and understood your explanation- and I also thought that the method worked well to break up the story and provide an interesting counterpoint to what was happening between them in the main body of the fic.

On a lighter note, is it wrong that I sort of wanted them to shack up together at the end of the story and give Buffy a heart attack when she comes over and finds them snuggling on the couch? Okay, we all know it's wrong, but I *totally* thought it anyway! ^_~
